There are many ways that the Bible shows us that the Christian life is best lived in connection with others. But, perhaps the clearest example of this is through the analogy of the church being the "Body of Christ". What this means is that each of us are connected to one another, and if one member of the body is hurting then the entire body is hurting. It is our desire that the entire body be thriving and growing as we all pursue abundant life in Christ. So, we expect that everyone will be connected with someone. Someone that will "spur [them] on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24)"
There are many different groups that meet throughout the week, for couples, families, men, women, and singles. They meet at various times and each group looks a little different from the rest. Some of the groups are Bible studies, some of them are dinner meetings, some of them are ministry teams, while others are golfing outings. The easiest way to get connected at North Hills is to get plugged-in with a small group. In a small group, people share life together and discuss the issues and challenges they face. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.
Look for our small group emphasis sermon series' twice a year or grab a Pastor on a Sunday morning and ask for help finding a group. In 2017 there will be additional opportunities and ways to find a group and get connected.
